"Daddy?"

About a week ago, Natalie learned how to climb out of her crib. It is great because she gets up in the morning from her naps when she is ready. Jon and I were saying that we didn't think Natalie would climb out in the middle of the night because it was dark and she wouldn't be very sure of her self. That very night about 2am, Jon woke up to this little face and voice, "Daddy? Daddy?" It was a little startling to see her standing there at his bedside. Now we have a visitor who joins us a few nights a week between 2-6am. The bed gets a little crowded sometimes with sideways sleeping and extra stuffed guests, but there's nothing like a little snuggler.

That is amazing! I can't believe that she got out of her crib and made it to your room without you guys knowing. She is growing up so fast.

Does that mean it is time for a big girl bed, especially so that the new little brother has somewhere to sleep?

She's one brave little girl. Zack won't even come out of his room to our bedroom. If he wakes up, he just whines until one of goes to check on him! What a big girl she's becoming.

This is only the beginning of little visitors at night. My favorite is when they stand by the side of your bed; their presence and silence wake you up. You ask them what they want and they say, "I think I'm going to throw up!" Nothing gets you out of bed faster than those few words! Then there are the teenagers that come home late. You ask them what time it is and they reply, "Plenty (20) past twelve!"; in hopes of tricking you so that you won't mind them breaking curfew.
